I dropped so many hints I'm sure many people saw this coming, at least after Rifta called Fathom a Draconian...
But who knows, maybe this will catch some people off-guard!

(My only regret is not having a better in-comic explanation of Draconians, but it'll be covered by the end of the chapter.)

Either way, I was really looking forward to this scene. This chapter solidifies why Fathom is one of my personal favorite characters.

Uhm.... where is the shocking part?
I knew who he is. Didn't you mention his name in this arc?

Now I'm confused.

Oh man I sure hope I didn't drop the ball that hard.
The closest his name should have come to being mentioned was Nine uttering "Fa..." before dying.

I'm sure I did just lay the hints on too thick, but I'll hafta re-read through the chapter again later just to be sure. (I was so excited about it, too, haha.)

I went through and it doesn't look like I accidentally let it slip too early. I can only imagine that it was too obviously hinted at, or I let it slip outside of the comic itself, (like in an SJ post or something.)

At least it won't be the last of the surprises in The Crisis.

Well now I want to go back and re-read but this is a scary comic to re-read because it took me a million years last time. xD;; SOMEDAY.

@sentiashinou: Yeah, the comic can be a bit of a drag on the re-read, huh? Hopefully someday I'll reach a point with the abridged/catch-up version that I'm satisfied enough to add to the site.

For what it's worth though Chapter 3's probably the only Fathom stuff worth re-reading through if this came as a surprise! He had very little characterization before Rosen.

@Seven Rain: Oh man, "drag" is such a strong word. Actually if the story were a little more boring I could bring myself to skip parts and it wouldn't take me so long. 8>

@sentiashinou: I know I throw around the self-deprecating remarks a bit too often but it's not a big deal, I wouldn't say it's too strong of a word, haha.
It makes me really happy when people enjoy the old pages, but I still wish I could go back in time and pace the first two chapters better.

@Seven Rain: You did have one of the other characters say "Fa-" and then get cut off.
Also do mine eyes deceive me, or is that Glint, Methuselah, and someone else?

@Redjive: I swear I replied to this comment ages ago but I must've accidentally closed it or something.

Forgive me for replying well over a month since you left it, but for the sake of clarity, (after all silence can speak louder than a confirmation or deconfirmation sometimes,) I just wanna reply now and say no. They're simply Ancient's children.
(Glint and Methuselah are not from Chrona at all, in fact.)

Sorry if this was all easy enough to figure out in subsequent pages, haha.
